Do I need permission from my Eixample landlord or the building community to get SolFi fiber?

No. Under Article 49 of the Spanish General Telecommunications Act (Ley 11/2022), broadband internet access is a protected universal utility. Neither landlords nor homeowner associations (Comunidad de Propietarios) can legally deny a tenant access to optical fiber installation.

How does thick Catalan brick construction affect Wi-Fi inside large Eixample flats?

Classic Eixample apartments often span 120m² to 200m² with heavy load-bearing brick walls that absorb traditional 5GHz radio signals. Every SolFi gigabit plan includes a high-power Wi-Fi 6 router, with optional plug-and-play Wi-Fi 6 mesh extenders for zero dead zones.

How fast can SolFi connect my home internet in Eixample?

Because Eixample has dense existing optical splitters in virtually every building, standard installation is completed within 24 to 48 hours of booking online.

Building Architecture & Optical Wiring in Eixample

Spanish residential properties fall into two distinct telecom infrastructure eras. Here is exactly how fiber installation works in Eixample, including tenant rights under Spanish law.

Pre-2000 Architecture~78% of Eixample

Historic & Classic Estates

Characterized by high ceilings, ornate moldings, and historic brick or stone construction. Optical cabling is routed strategically to preserve architectural integrity.

Distribution: Vertical distribution through interior light courtyards (patios de luces) using flexible micro-fiber conduits.

Architectural Care: Ultra-fine bend-insensitive fiber (G.657.A2) routed through existing conduits or discrete skirting. No damage to hydraulic tiles or ceiling cornices.

Average Installation: 45 minutes on-site.

Zero structural drilling required.

Post-2000 ICT Standard~22% of Eixample

Modern ICT2 Residential

Regulated under Spain's telecommunications law (*Real Decreto 346/2011*). Standardized optical risers pre-wired into every single apartment.

Distribution: ICT2 standard dedicated riser conduit directly to apartment optical entrance rosette (PTR-O).

Direct PAU Terminal: The technician simply connects our ONT directly to your apartment's pre-installed Punto de Acceso de Usuario (PAU) inside the entryway panel.

Plug & Play Duration: Rapid 30 to 45 minute commissioning.

100% zero drilling guaranteed. Complete clean handover.

Spanish Statutory Tenant Rights

Can Your Landlord or Building Community Veto Fiber in Eixample?

Under Ley 11/2022 General de Telecomunicaciones (Artículo 49), neither your landlord nor the building's homeowner community (*Comunidad de Propietarios*) can legally impede or veto the deployment of optical fiber to your dwelling. SolFi's licensed installers handle all standard facade and courtyard clearances under this statute, guaranteeing your right to broadband connectivity without bureaucratic friction.

Need a formal installation notice for your landlord?

We provide pre-filled legal certification letters in Spanish and English upon order confirmation.
